About Us

For our founder and owner Carolyn Piguet, food is more than something you eat. It’s a heritage rich with purpose, love, and community. Carolyn was raised on a farm and is a fifth-generation farmer. She will tell you that she was raised with a heritage of love of the soil and she believes it more every day.

“Farming is the lifeblood of my family,” she says.

She has spent her entire award-winning teaching career educating young people about food including where it comes from, how to grow it, and how to prepare it. Carolyn is one of only a small handful of Oklahoma agricultural education instructors to be a National Board Certified Teacher. She’s also earned state and national agriculture education awards including State Agriculture Instructor of the Year from OkACTE (2018/2019), and Outstanding Agriculture Education from the National Association of Agriculture Educators (Region 2, 2017/2018).

As she prepares to retire from her role as a teacher and FFA advisor for Vinita Schools where she’s served since 2010, her role as an educator will simply change to include the community at large.

As she finishes one role and moves into her new adventure with Piguet’s Prime Time, Carolyn plans to continue educating people on not only where their food comes from, but why that matters. She also plans to help them learn new and healthy ways to prepare their food.  Ask her why she does it and she’ll likely tell you “I’m an educator, always.”
