Emily Shuping

Emily Shuping is the Marketing Coordinator for the Made in Oklahoma Coalition and has been employed by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Food and Forestry for the past two years. Emily received her Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness from Oklahoma State University in December 2015 and is currently working toward her Master’s degree in International Agriculture from OSU.

George Lemmon

– MIO President
– Regional Sales Manager Clements Foods Company

Born and raised in Oklahoma, George graduated from Central State University (now University of Central Oklahoma) in 1972 with a Bachelors of Business Administration. He started in the retail food business with Kerr Brokerage. George worked for several brokers as part owner. A founding member of the MIO Coalition, he is serving his fourth year as President.

Daniel Payne

– Interim Vice President and Co-Chair of the Retail Committee
– Retail Account Manager Ozarka Water

Daniel Payne is the Interim Vice President and Co-Chair of the Retail Committee of MIO. He is the Retail Account Manager at Oklahoma’s Own Ozarka Water Company in Oklahoma City. Daniel has 30+ years in the Oklahoma Grocery Market, including ten years working in a grocery store and 21 years selling to Grocery Stores.

Courtney Phelps-Talbot

– MIO Secretary
– Director of Sales & Marketing Mountain View Meats

Courtney has served as Mountain View Meat Company’s MIO member representative since 2013. In July 2016, she was elected to the Board of Directors of MIO as Secretary.

Courtney proudly represents the 3rd Generation of Phelps, contributing to her grandparents legacy. She was recognized as a Significant Woman in Agriculture in 2017.

Chris Field

– MIO Treasurer
– President/CEO Field’s Pies

Chris Field, President/CEO of Field’s Pies in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He is currently the Treasurer of the MIO and a past President. He has been with the MIO for the last 18 years.

Max McDermott

– MIO Co-Treasurer
– CEO deVine Water

Max is a farmer at heart and is always looking for opportunities to pursue a value-added venture with his resources. In 2003 Max purchased the artesian well and adjacent property by the McDermott Living Trust from the Brickman Estate and started the Devine Water LLC. He has served as the MIO Co-Treasurer since 2013.

David Brooks

– MIO Legislative Liaison
– National Retail Sales Manager Shawnee Mills

David Brooks, National Retail Sales Manager for Shawnee Milling Co. is currently the spokesperson for MIO. He also manages the legislative communication for the Coalition. Shawnee Mills is one of the founding companies of the Made in Oklahoma Coalition, and David is one of the seven original members.
