Sweet and Spicy Baked Beans

Bold flavors from pepper relish, whole grain mustard, barbecue sauce and brown sugar turn basic baked beans into something special.

  1. 1 lb Greers Ranch House ground pork sausage
  2. 1 onion, chopped
  3. 2 (28) ounce cans baked beans
  4. 1 (15) ounce can black beans, drained
  5. 1 (15) ounce can kidney beans, drained
  6. 2 cups Head Country BBQ sauce
  7. 1/2 teaspoon Head Country All Purpose Championship Seasoning
  8. 1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  9. 1/4 cup Seikels Oklahoma Gold Mustard
  10. 1 tablespoon Griffins Original Syrup
  11. 1/4 cup Suans Scotch Bonnet Pepper Relish
  12. 6 slices Bar-S Bacon
  1. Cook sausage and onion in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, stirring until sausage crumbles and is no longer pink.
  2. Drain.
  3. Return sausage to pot, and add all beans, barbecue sauce, seasoning, brown sugar, mustard, syrup and relish.
  4. Top beans with bacon. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
