Stone Sisters Organics

  |   By  |  0 Comments

The Stone Sisters, Sheli Stone Stenseth, Tami Stone Lake, and Traci Stone were raised in Oklahoma, where their childhood shaped their future mission-to share love through healthy, delicious pizza and crust. This journey began with a commitment to well-being and the realization that what is labeled as “healthy” isn’t always so. Sheli began her journey with pure, unprocessed food as  a young wife, caring for her husband as he fought a battle with brain cancer. This ultimately led her to exploring all things organic and ancient grains, she discovered she had a gluten intolerance and to her surprise and delight she found organic sprouted spelt crust. It’s not only gluten friendly but it is vegan (until topped), low glycemic, and your body digests it like a vegetable carb instead of a bread carb! Sheli is also certified in Traditional Nutrition, emphasizing the importance of pure, unadulterated foods to fight disease.

With their mission firmly rooted in health, the Stone Sisters opened Stone Sisters Pizza Bar Restaurant in Oklahoma City, where they educated and delighted customers with the benefits of Organic Sprouted Spelt and the creation of the amazing Organic Sprouted Spelt Crust. Their dedication paid off when their restaurant received praise from none other than Guy Fieri on Food Network’s Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. However, as much as they cherished their restaurant, the Sisters felt a greater calling. They recognized that the next step in their journey was to introduce their healthy products to a broader audience. In September 2022, they made the difficult decision to close Stone Sisters Pizza Bar and transition to manufacturing.

The Sisters established Stone Sisters Manufacturing, and now co-pack Stone Sisters Organics Happie Cheese Pizzas and Happie Organic Sprouted Spelt Crust Packs, along with co-packing for other companies as well. The Stone Sisters are all about making a positive  change in the world through their love of people and healthy pure organic food. Sheli says, “Our purpose is to change lives through nutrition education and providing people with whole food choices that can change lives through nutrition education and providing people with whole food choices that can stop the unhealthy cycle of disease. Their unwavering commitment to health and well being continues to drive them and their mission to change the world one pizza at a time. The Sisters believe in Peace, Love, Pizza!!!!

Homesteading in the Oklahoma Land Run years, the J. Lloyd Ford family built their original log cabin in 1895. Preserved by his company, the landmark still stands today. The Mill he started in 1906 is a legacy to his insistence on quality products. He set the standards for Shawnee Mills, still operated by the third and fourth generations of Ford family millers. Despite significant growth over the years, the company has never lost track of its roots.

The Food Division of Shawnee Milling creates a variety of flour, cornmeal, and baking mix products to meet the baking needs of our customers. Our special packaging capabilities allow us to offer a range of sizes from several ounces to bulk transport.

Shawnee Milling’s Flour Mill has the flexibility to mill a wide variety of wheat to meet our customer’s diverse needs and is located in the heart of the wheat belt, providing access to the finest grains available. When considering the added variety of products from Shawnee Milling’s Corn Mill and Dry Mix Plant, there are very few grain processing companies that can offer this breadth and depth of grain-based products from a single location. These resources allow Shawnee Milling to produce our broad line of products and welcome custom milling and mixing projects for our customers.

A large part of Shawnee Milling’s success is the result of being the best, most prepared, most responsive supplier to each customer. If you are looking for that kind of personal attention from one of the milling industry’s finest companies, please contact us, and let our staff of loyal employees prove to you how dedicated we are to the traditions J. Lloyd Ford started back in 1906.

Schwab Meat Company

The Schwab Meat Co. dream began in Sachsenhausen, West Germany with the company’s founder, George Peter Schwab (1866 – 1943). After landing at Ellis Island on July 20th, 1890 with several prized “old world” sausage recipes, Schwab set out to make his dream of bringing authentic German sausages to the United States a reality.

By the mid 1890s, Schwab had moved to Leavenworth, Kansas and had begun making sausages for a living; however, after meeting and marrying Katharina Kirshner and having two children (Chris and Katie) the Schwab’s decided to relocate to Oklahoma City, where Katharina’s parents lived, around 1900. Here, the Schwab family would add two new members to their family (Walter and Frieda) and establish the store location Schwab Meat Co. uses to this day at 1111 Linwood Blvd. After many prosperous years of business, two more Schwabs (Christoph and Leonhard) moved to Oklahoma in 1923 to help further expand the family business. In the decades to come, the Schwab family kept the business a tightly knit family operation with an emphasis on building customer relationships and making only the highest quality “old world” sausages. By the mid 1900s, Walter Schwab and his two sons (George and Jack) came to leadership for the company during an era of further growth for the family business.

Today, Jack’s sons (Scott and Larry) run the recently 100-year-old company with the help of their children – now fifth generation sausage makers. Just as the many generations before them, Scott, Larry and their children all strive to uphold the values set before them and produce only the highest quality, traditional, “old world” sausages and meat products.

Hi, my name is Sam Wayt! Now, you may have noticed from the label, but I love salsa! So, I started making my own. It all began one night after grilling some delicious steaks with my neighbor on our trusty Hasty-Bake, wondering why we had never across any good smoked salsa. Our first batch was a bit wild, but we soon realized we had something extraordinary! Every weekend for the next couple years, my family and I crafted and perfected this salsa for friends and family, dialing it in. We hope you love and enjoy our salsa, for quality is always our first priority.

Happy Dipping!!
