It’s time to snuggle in for winter with recipes that will leave you feeling warm and cozy. In the winter we like our recipes to be comforting, decadent and sometimes fun. The Made in Oklahoma Coalition has you covered with recipes using your favorite local ingredients for our favorite winter occasions.

For some, the Super Bowl has become as much about the food as the game. And even if the game is the main event at your house, it’s fun to gather friends and family for a spread of great-tasting recipes using MIO products. We have recipes for Crispy Coconut Chicken Tenders, Personal Pan Pizzas and BBQ Pork Sliders that come together quickly in an Instant Pot. Our Super Bowl Taco Soup is a classic that’s easy to make and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. And you can’t beat our cheesy, smoky Super Bowl Dip. Everyone will be digging into that one.

Winter is also the perfect time for comforting, warming breakfasts. Cold cereal just won’t cut it on cold days. That’s when you’ll want to try our Favorite Frittata Muffins, packed with fresh veggies and farm-fresh eggs. You can make these ahead, individually wrap and then warm up anytime you want a healthy, filling breakfast. Another one of our favorite breakfast recipes is for Bacon Pancakes. This fun recipe is the perfect blend of salty and sweet.

When your sweet tooth kicks in, check out our recipes for Sour Cream Softies and Southern Roots Sisters Chocolate Chip Cookies. Both these cookies are easy to make and oh-so-good. There’s nothing like homemade hot cocoa, and our Rich and Creamy Hot Chocolate is a perfect one to have on hand for snow days. Another great snow-day recipe is our Honey Glazed Sweet and Salty Snack Mix. Warning: It’s addictive!

Valentine’s Day is a perfect day for baking something special for your sweetheart or loved ones. Two of our favorites are an Apple Cinnamon Bread Pudding and our Brownie Bottom Chocolate Cheesecake. The cheesecake is a triple threat of chocolate, with a brownie crust, chocolate cream cheese filling, chocolate whipped cream and a Bedre chocolate sauce to finish.

We love these winter recipes, and we think you will, too! Enjoy this season with good food, friends and family using Made in Oklahoma ingredients.
