Bedlam BAR-B-Q prepares meats in the old traditions of curing and dry-rub applications. Our Family recipes are held carefully and diligently to the original standards, which our loving relatives learned from their own parents. Our opportunity to serve Oklahoma City began in 2003 at 610 Northeast 50th , a location central to the forgotten homes of many founding community pioneers such as Tom Braniff, Beverly Osborne, Harvey Everest, Bill Payne, General William S. Key, Mont Highly, R. J. Edwards, General Clyde J. Watts, Byron Gambulos, and even “The Gold Brothers” John and Peter Sinopoulo.

While the name Bedlam will always be appropriately associated with the intense OU and OSU rivalry, our celebration of the legendary stories from these great schools touches only part of the heritage most Oklahomans enjoy. A depth of pride and thankfulness for our Cherokee Indian heritage makes it most politically correct for our own associations of the Indian Nations to be very Red in Oklahoma. Colonel Robert S. Mackenzie might have never settled or established victory over the Comanche had it not been for the magnanimous humility of Quanah Parker, who saved the lives of many that would have followed him to their death by agreeing to live in peace as a rancher on the lands allotted at Fort Sill. Parker left the raids and conflicts with the U.S. government in the past, in exchange for a legacy of ranching through his close relationships with Burk Burnett of the Four Sixes Ranch, Charles Goodnight, and the Waggoner Family of Wichita Falls. President Teddy Roosevelt hunted and enjoyed time with Parker at the Star House, located on Fort Sill’s grounds. Whether the stories are Comanche or from any of the Five Civilized Tribes, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Seminole, Cherokee, and Creek, whose allotments sent them all to Oklahoma, there are still many more tribes that share a history of strength and perseverance through tragedy and have many similar legends. From the Miller 101 Ranch to the depth of toughness found in men like Cowboy Bill Picket, Jim Shoulders, and Tom Mix, Cowboys, reciprocally to the Indian counterparts, cause communities, friends, and families to dig deep into Bedlam. Can we say it any more plainly? It’s all about Oklahoma Cowboys and Indians.
