Hiland Dairy was born in America’s heartland, beginning with a small herd of cows and a couple of trucks delivering farm-fresh milk to local grocers. Today, we continue to proudly support the communities in which we live and the businesses whose customers rely on our wholesome products every day.
Just as it was back in 1938, our company is still led by people whose professional lives are dedicated to the industry. And our passion for this business extends from our president to our farm families and all the way to the drivers of our delivery fleet.
Hiland Dairy Foods was founded in 1938. But some of our dairies go back even further — to the days just after the Civil War, when milk was delivered by horse-drawn carts and stored in wooden chests cooled by ice cut from nearby rivers and lakes. Today, our milk is shipped and stored using state-of-the art technology, but our commitment to producing the absolute freshest, best-tasting dairy products possible remains the same as it did back then.
