Sweet and Spicy Meatballs

- 1 – 28 ounce bag Fast Fixin’ Meatballs
Sweet and Spicy Sauce
- ¼ cup Garden Club Apricot Jam
- ¼ cup orange marmalade
- ¼ pineapple chunks with juice
- ¼ cup Chinese plum sauce **
- ¼ cup applesauce
- 2 tbsp. minced fresh ginger
- 2 tbsp. white vinegar
- 1 tsp. sambal oelek / Chinese chili paste **
Instructions
- Place all sauce ingredients into food processor or blender and puree until smooth. Makes 1 ½ cups of sauce. Can be made ahead and stored in refrigerator for five days.
- Cook meatballs according to directions on package.
- Toss meatballs with room temperature sauce and serve immediately, or place in a chafing dish or crock pot to keep warm.
**Plum sauce and sambal oelek / chili paste available from Chinese specialty section of grocery store at Asian market.
Serves 8 – 10.
