Picnic Pork Sandwiches

An Adapted Recipe by Kitchen Kimberley
  • 1 (3 to 4 lb.) boneless pork sirloin roast
  • Daddy Hinkle’s O’Riginal Wet/Dry Marinade
  • 1 small white onion, chopped
  • 1 whole clove garlic, peeled
  • 1 (12 oz.) can Coca-Cola
  • 2 bottles Head Country Hickory Smoke Bar-B-Q Sauce

Instructions

Rinse pork roast, and trim visible fat; place into a crock-pot.  Sprinkle generously with Daddy Hinkle’s O’Riginal Wet and Dry Marinades; let set for 10 minutes.  Add chopped onion, whole garlic, and Coca-Cola.  Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or on low for 8 hours, or until tender.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Carefully remove pork from crock-pot, and transfer to a lightly greased casserole dish; discard cooking liquid.  Using 2 forks shred the meat to desired texture.  Add Head Country Bar-B-Q Sauce to taste (more or less depending on size of pork roast), and mix well.

Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes in preheated oven.  Serve on lightly toasted buns, and enjoy!
