Hot Link Hoagies

An Original Recipe by Kitchen Kimberley
  • 2 pkgs. Schwab's Hot Links
  • ¼ cup Hiland Butter
  • 1 large red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ ccup beef broth
  • 6 hoagie or french rolls, split
  • 2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese

Instructions

Heat a large nonstick skillet. Thinly slice hot links on bias; add to skillet and cook, stirring frequently, about 10 minutes or until nicely browned. Remove from skillet to drain on paper towel. Meanwhile, in another large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add sliced peppers and onions; sauté vegetables until tender, about 10 minutes. Reduce heat to medium; add garlic, browned hot links and beef broth to skillet. Simmer 10 minutes, or until most of the liquid has evaporated. Place sausage mixture on split roll; top with shredded cheddar cheese. If desired, broil lightly to melt cheese. Enjoy!
