Hello Dollies
An adapted recipe from Sweet Treasures by Kimberley Bevins
- ½ cup (1 stick) Hiland Butter
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 2 cups (total) baking morsels—chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, white chocolate, or combination (see note)
- 1 pkg. (7 oz.) flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 9 x 13-inch baking pan, melt butter – this takes about 5 minutes in preheated oven. Mix the graham crackers into the melted butter in pan. Pat graham cracker mixture into bottom of pan, forming a base. Sprinkle baking morsels of your choice, then nuts, and coconut over top. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over top of layers, coating well. Bake for 35 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack; cut into bars.
Note: Any flavored baking morsels or nuts can be used for this recipe. The recipe has been successfully tested using a mixture of butterscotch chips, semi-sweet mini morsels, sliced almonds, raw unsalted peanuts… basically anything that sounds good to you can be used!
