Half-Time Hoagie Sandwiches
An Original Recipe by Kitchen Kimberley
- 6 Bar-S Smoked Sausages, thinly sliced (diagonal)
- 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- ¼ cup Head Country Hickory Smoke Bar-B-Q Sauce
- 4 hoagie, or deli rolls, split
Instructions
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced smoked sausage, bell peppers and onion; cook and stir for about 5 minutes, or until the sausages are lightly browned and the vegetables are tender. Next, reduce the heat to medium, and add the garlic, salt and pepper to taste; cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in the Bar-B-Q Sauce, adding more, if desired. Simmer for 5 minutes, and serve on buns. Enjoy!
