Base

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups Shawnee Mills All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup Hiland Butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. Griffin's Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Gala apples, peeled, cored and sliced

Topping

  • 1 ½ cups caramel topping
  • ½ cup Braum’s Milk
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup Braum’s Sour Cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, salt and baking powder. Add eggs, melted butter and vanilla. Stir just until medium dough is formed. Pat in prepared dish on sides and bottom. Waxed paper or plastic wrap helps this step. Place apple slices on base in rows to cover.

Heat caramel topping and milk in small saucepan, stir until smooth. In medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, egg and sugar.

Spoon alternating rows of caramel mixture and cream cheese mixture diagonally across apples to completely cover them. Sprinkle pecans on top. Bake at 350 degrees 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
