Cornbread Dressing
- 1 pkg. Shawnee Mills Cornbread Mix
- 1 cup canned broth
- ½ cup chopped onions
- ½ cup diced celery
- 3 tbsp. Hiland Butter
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp. poultry seasoning
- ½ tsp. sage (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake Shawnee Mills Cornbread Mix as directed, crumble when cool. Lightly brown ½ cup chopped onions, ½ cup diced celery in 3 tablespoons margarine or butter. Add crumbled cornbread, 1 beaten egg, ¼ teaspoon pepper and ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning (1/2 teaspoon sage, optional). Stir in 1 ½ cups poultry stock or canned broth. Pour into a well greased 8-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until browned.
