Coffee Flan

An Original Recipe by Chef Kurt Fleischfresser
  • ½ cup flavored Neighbors Coffee – ground
  • 2 cups Braum’s Whole Milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 whole eggs
  • ½ cups sugar

Instructions

Bring milk, coffee, and cinnamon to boil and cover.  Steep for 10 minutes.  Strain the mixture to eliminate grounds and ensure a smooth texture.  Whisk egg yolks, eggs and sugar.  Add milk mixture to eggs and pour into 4-8 (depending on size) individual, caramelized ramekins.  Bake in a 300-degree oven in a water bath for 40 minutes to an hour and 10 minutes.  Cool and serve.

Caramelized Ramekins

  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

On stove, heat sugar and water over medium heat until sugar is dark brown.  Divide among ramekins.
