Buffalo Burgers with Greek Cheese
An Original Recipe by Kitchen Kimberley
- 1 lb. ground buffalo
- ½ tsp. McCormick Seasoned Pepper Blend
- 1 tsp. Cavender’s All Purpose Greek Seasoning
- 1 tsp. ground mustard powder
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp. garlic salt
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp. finely minced onion
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine egg and all remaining ingredients except meat. Add ground buffalo; blend well. Shape mixture into 3 equal patties. Grill over low to medium heat to desired doneness. Be careful not to overcook, as buffalo is very lean meat, and cooks more quickly than beef. While burgers are cooking, prepare cheese spread.
Greek Cheese Spread
- 4 oz. reduced-fat cream cheese
- 4 oz. Feta cheese
- 2 tbsp. fresh or dried chives
Instructions
In a small bowl, blend ingredients well. If a thinner consistency is desired, add a little Greek Vinaigrette, Ranch Dressing, or milk. Spread cheese over cooked burgers. Enjoy!
Tips: Nothing beats a juicy burger topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions! Sauté a diced yellow onion with 8 ounces sliced mushrooms in 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil until tender. Spoon mushroom mixture over the Greek Cheese Spread, and enjoy on a hearty bun with crisp lettuce.
